Faith is Living For Something Other Than The Bottom Line

What are you working for today? Jesus warned us that daily profits are easily lost. He beat Ben Franklin to the punch line about the only sure things being death and taxes when he said, "Store your treasure in heaven, where they'll never be moth-eaten or rust and where they'll be safe from thieves."

Jesus challenges us to live for something higher than the bottom line because eventually everything material zeros out. Taxes take their life. Like the bumper sticker says, "A penny saved is a government oversight." But death consumes everything left.

It's often noted: "You'll never see a hearse pulling a U-haul!" I encourage you to work for something more than a paycheck today by using your skills and resources to build into other's lives for eternity."
