Tombstones
Some tombstones make strange statements. One simply states: “Dentist Brown is filling his last cavity.” Another, presumably for a hypochondriac says: “I told you I was sick.” But one tombstone says more than all others. The Bible tells us that when Jesus friends came to visit the grave three days after His death, the stone was rolled away and the tomb was empty. Never has a tombstone said as much as the one at the tomb of Jesus Christ. The angel sitting on the moved stone asked: “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here; He is risen, just as He promised!”
I’d like to invite you to visit Highland Park Church this Easter Sunday for a celebration of life that goes beyond the grave. Join us at the church just down the street from the new hospital for a celebration we’ve titled: “In the Light of an Empty Tomb!” I’d also like to give you a free copy of my new book: Snapshots of Faith. It’s yours free. Just drop me a note at encouragingword.net.
