Jesus, the Friend of Sinners

Hi, I’m Mike Neely and though I’m a pastor I have to confess something to you. I've done a lot of bad things, stuff I’m not proud of, selfish deeds; hurtful actions. Maybe you’ve felt like me at times thinking: “If anyone knew all the bad stuff about me – they would never accept me or love me. Hey, to be honest, at times I don’t even like myself!

Maybe you are afraid that God feels this way about you. We may think that since He knows everything about us, He could never feel anything for us but anger. That’s far from the truth. The Bible tells us that God knows every detail of our lives, right down to the exact count for the number of hairs on our head. Yet, God – who knows us best, loves us most. At the same time, God says His love demands that He judge sin. Do you know how those two truths must be brought together in every life?
