An Uncommon Passion

Passionate desire is soul fuel in those who strive for excellence - whether it is the world champ athlete, the successful businessman or the influential politician. Passion: The love and desire for something that moves, shapes and motivates life! Business, family, sports – those are all common passions. But, God calls us to an uncommon desire: A holy passion - love and desire out of the ordinary and above the lust and greed for things of this world.

“Are you in the grip of a master passion such as that of Paul, who said, “This one thing I do?” Such a singleness of motive will focus all one’s energies and powers on the desired objective.”

The apostle Paul said: “It is the love of Christ that compels me.” It is a love relationship with Jesus Christ that motivates our lives by setting both the goals and boundaries of living – that is something that mere rules, rituals and religion can never do.
